Golden Gate firefighters train constantly when they're not responding to emergency calls.

Firefighters practice every skill their job may require, from fighting fires or putting bandages on wounds to pumping water or diving into it.

The fire district training division includes a battalion chief of training and a training captain.

They also manage the district's urban search and rescue team. The team deploys throughout the state to assist with disasters.
