Lt. Handley joined the fire district in 1985 and served as a volunteer for six years before he was hired full time.
He worked is way through the ranks to lieutenant.
Lt. Handley has been responsible for ordering and repairing all hoses for the fire district. He is also an active member of the urban search and rescue team.
Lt. Lowe served as a volunteer firefighter from 1994-1995 when he was hired.
He received his Fire Officer I certification and was promoted to lieutenant in 2000.
Lt. Lowe maintains the fire district's maps and is also responsible for helping district officials receive reimbursements from the state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency whenever personnel are deployed to state incidents and natural disasters.
Lt. Bunting volunteered with Golden Gate from 1998-2000 before he was hired.
He quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to lieutenant in 2007.
Lt. Bunting serves on the urban search and rescue team and has several certifications including Fire Officer I and Instructor I.
Lt. Good started his career in 1993 with Collier County Emergency Medical Services and as a volunteer firefighter. He joined Golden Gate in 1998 and rose through the ranks.
He has three lifesaving awards, several unit citations and holds numerous certifications including Pump Operation, Fire Officer I and Instructor.
Lt. Good is working to complete an Associate of Science degree in Fire Science.
Lt. Nelson began volunteering as a firefighter in 1989 and was hired by the fire district in 1993. He was promoted to engineer in 1994 and became one of the district's first state certified pump operators in 1995.
He developed the district's hydrant numbering system and testing program, which started with 750 hydrants and now has almost 2,000. Lt. Nelson has also managed the distric's gear and uniforms since 1996.
He was promoted to lieutenant in 2001 and serves on the urban search and rescue team. He is also a CPR and BLS instructor and is working to become a live fire burn instructor.
Lt. Tobin joined Golden Gate in 1999.
He holds an Associate's Degree in Fire Science and Emergency Medicine. He is a certified Paramedic and Fire Officer II.
He is working towards a bachelor's degree in public administration and hopes to pursue a masters degree in the same discipline.
Lt. Tobin is also union president of Golden Gate Firefighters Local 3182.

Lt. Campbell joined the fire district as a volunteer in 1999. He was hired full-time in 2001.
He was promoted to lieutenant in 2007 and is responsible for ensuring fire district's map books are up-to-date.
Lt. Campbell has four lifesaving awards and was named Firefighter of the Year in 2003.
Lt. Heath became a volunteer firefighter in 2000 and was hired by Golden Gate in 2001. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2006.
He holds certifications for Paramedic, Fire Officer I, Instructor and Pump Operator. He is also one of the qualified drivers of Tower 72.
Lt. Heath is the fire district's pre-plan coordinator and a member of the fire district's dive rescue team. He is working toward completion of Fire Officer II and the requirements to serve as a member of the urban search and rescue team.
Lt. Bright joined the fire district as a volunteer in 1995 and was hired in 1996.
He serves on the dive rescue, hazardous materials and urban search and rescue teams. He holds certifications for Fire Officer I, Instructor I, Hazardous Materials Technician, Rope Rescue, Trench Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Pump Operation, and Emergency Medical Technician.
Lt. Fly joined the fire district in 2001 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2006.
He is part of the urban search and rescue team and dive team.
Lt. Fly also helped spearhead the fire district's implementation of geographic information systems (GIS) into short and long-range planning. He became the first staff member trained on it. GIS data allows district officials to analyze trends in the number and types of calls to help improve response times.
Lt. Godette joined the fire district as a volunteer in 1996 and was hired in 1998.
He has served as basic life support coordinator for the district for several years and manages all CPR and First Aid classes offered by district instructors. He also serves as faculty for NCH hospital. Lt. Godette is a C.E.R.T. instructor, member of the urban search and rescue team and works on the Collier County Critical Incident Stress Management Team.
He is certified as Fire Officer I, Instructor I, Incident Safety Officer and Emergency Medical Technician.
Lt. Sellers started as a volunteer Golden Gate firefighter in 1994 and was hired in 1997.
He was promoted to driver engineer in 1998 and was one of a few firefighters selected to drive Tower 72 when it was placed in service at Station 72.
He was promoted to lieutenant in 2007.
He holds certifications for Fire Officer and Instructor and is part of the fire district's dive team. He is working towards an associate's degree.
