Preparedness Tips
- Know how vulnerable your home is against severe storms.
- Determine the areas of your home that offer the most protection against storms. You may need to go to a designated shelter if a hurricane comes.
- Determine the fastest way to escape a hurricane, and decide where to go if a severe storm threatens. Make sure your route is out of the hurricane’s projected path.
- If possible, use a friend or colleague outside Florida as a central contact for you and your family.
