The Fire Commission is a three-member board that sets policy for the district, much like a city council or county commission, because Golden Gate is an independent fire district. Commissioners are elected to four-year terms and may serve an unlimited number of terms.
Our fire commissioners are Rob Stoneburner, David Stedman and Chuck McMahon.
Commission meetings are open to the public and held at 6:30 p.m., the second Wednesday of each month, at Station 73, located at 14575 Collier Blvd., across from Vanderbilt Country Club.
